Looking back to 10 years there is vast change in the use of social media. Which has given rise to a new cultural paradigm that drives technology and businesses while changing the way people interact. As we can as a tool social media is a double-edged sword, while it has many benefits, as well it has many unhealthy adverse effects on youngsters, elderly people and kids as well. There are both positive and more negative sides of the use of social media.
Social media has a bad and good effect on kids, teenagers and as well as elders too. It has found to be elders have found to be used more of social media than before. Popular opinion to give on the use of social media on kids is more negative than of positive. The social media get easily effected by kids. Such as constantly checking their news feed, taking a selfie uploading on social media. Which creates consciousness in kids, we find more of teenagers on social media than kids. Youngsters each day end up spending time using social media, watching videos, reading the status of the people they follow, taking selfies with many different filters and upload on social media. Which ultimately results in poor grades in school and colleges. While the heavy use of social media has also lead to check their social media during school hours also. Thus using a lot of time on social media leads to the negative mood which may cause a defensive attitude as it directly gets affected by your bad mental health. But besides these negative factors, there are positive factors also. Youth uses social media we have never thought of it. Students use social media to form the study group to share their ideas and learning material. But yes social media has changed the way of study for kids and youngsters. It has introduced a more peer-based learning method where students are motivated to learn.
