Politics is not about serving the people and serving the country. Politics has become a ‘Business’ where people make buck-loads of money and then as any other business the son/daughter joins the business and eventually takes over. Making the parent really proud.
These days the politics have become so dirty and audacious that openly money is being distributed/offered/stocked by political leaders. Crores & Crores of money is being found in raids all across the country.
Recently a raid by Madhya Pradesh IT department was done at Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s aides.
Raids at Kamal Nath’s secretary Praveen Kakkar in Indore and Bhopal where cash worth around Rs 9 crore worth has been confiscated.
Few days back a raid was done where Cash Stash Recovered From Vellore Cement Factory. The amount is said to be about 11 crores. The sources say that factory is DMK treasurer Durai Murugan’s Binami Cement Factory. Incidentally Durai Murugan’s son is the DMK candidate for that constituency.
In another incident – the election flying squad officials have seized Rs 3.47 crores from a government bus in Harur in Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu. Now this money was not claimed by anyone, so can’t be termed as money that was going to be used in elections.
I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg. There must be lakhs of crores of money being spent by political parties across the nation and I don’t think anyone is clean from this. All political parties play dirty when it comes to elections. Changing this political gutter is upto the voters of this nation.
This blatant misuse of power – politicians filling up their pockets with public money – alluring you with small token money and dreamy schemes for votes – this cycle is going to continue if we don’t vote for the candidate that brings prosperity to your own constituency. An MP(Member of Parliament) is your representative in the Lok Sabha. And your vote is going to decide who that person is going to be.
Think hard before casting your vote. And a request – do cast your vote.
