Its been close to 56 days now since Shaheen Bagh has become the epicentre of the country’s political game. This is specially important for the upcoming Delhi election. Now we don’t know who or what political party is backing them but for sure someone is. Now lets dive into what, why and how of this situation called ‘Shaheen Bagh’.
What led to ‘Shaheen Bagh’?
P.Chidabaram just came out of jail on bail. Article 370 abrogated few months earlier. Ram Mandir verdict out few weeks earlier. These are few line of events that happened in the second half of 2019.
The opposition was losing its identity and only 1 party was clean sweeping everything. Ticking one box after the other from their election manifesto. Fulfilling half the promises in just 6 months of their re-election. And on the last day of the winter session (Parliament) they got the CAB (Citizenship Amendment Bill) passed in both the houses with majority.
The master minds of politics saw this as their opportunity to create a divide and rule the political scene again. The CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) doesn’t apply to any Indian citizen but this is not what is conveyed to the general public by the dirty politicians of this country. They are using CAA to misguide a section of our society filling them with hate and anger.
Why ‘Shaheen Bagh’?
The agitations were initially pushed for pan-India violence. But BJP ruled states acted strictly and Other Party ruled states didn’t let their states burn because that would tarnish their image as administrators. So only 1 state was left were the ruling party had no control over the police and the state was going to have elections in a month so perfect scenario to play political games over a baseless agitation. So the psuedo-liberal hub got excited as they finally have someplace to spit-out their venomous thoughts.
Who is the MLA of Shaheen Bagh? The answer is Amanatullah Khan from AAP (Aam Aadmi Party).
Does that even matter? Yes. Political Game & Political Gain from this incident was going to play a part in the Delhi Election, that everyone knows. That is the reason no-one tried to get the Shaheen Bagh area cleared though it was & still is causing so much inconvenience to the people living in & around Shaheen Bagh.
Now Shaheen Bagh has become the hot topic in the upcoming Delhi Election.
Is Shaheen Bagh really helping out the minority community?
The people at Shaheen Bagh are protesting against the newly formed ACT i.e CAA. Now they say that its unconstitutional and it should be cancelled. The case has been put in-front of the Supreme Court and they will take a decision and accordingly the Act will stand or fall. So why still they are protesting?
They are still protesting because CAA was never the agenda. They wanted to make this as an epicentre of hatred where the BJP-haters & the psuedo-liberals come on the stage and give their country-breaking speeches and instil hatred among people of this country. Instead of asking relevant questions regarding the CAA or people coming up and explaining the CAA they are spreading all kind of wrong information & trying to create a situation in this country where people living in the society hate their neighbours because they belong to a different community.
It would not come as a surprise if the Shaheen Bagh area is cleared as soon as the Delhi Election results are out. I cannot blame a single political party for this situation. Everyone has their hands dirty in this one. But there has to be a line in politics as well. You cannot damage the feeling & emotions of the people of your country and fill them with hate just for political gain. Country comes first & so does our country men & women. Hope the people understand that politicians & their games will come and go but this country will stay & stay strong.
Stay strong. Love your fellow citizens & be proud of being an Indian.
Jai Hind.
