Shatrughan Sinha was the MP from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency but now in the upcoming elections – the seat has been given to Ravi Shankar Prasad – Minister of Law and Justice of India.
Now in the wake of announcement – the workers, reportedly supporters of RK Sinha, raised loud slogans against RS Prasad in protest of him being named as the candidate from Patna Sahib. They also raised slogans in favour of Sinha who is a BJP MP.
Now it will be interesting to see how the party leaders react to this dissent. But there has been quite a stir in all political parties regarding the naming of candidates for particular seats, just like this one.
Patna Sahib will vote in the final phase – on 19 May 2019.
Lok Sabha candidates should be chosen on the basis of the progress that they can bring to that very constituency. Because at the end of the day – an MP is basically a person representing the people of that constituency.
And people should also vote for the candidate that can bring progress to their constituency.
