The country is united in the time of a war-like situation when one of our brave Indian Air Force pilot is in captivity of Pakistan. I understand that the government must be working behind the scenes to get our soldier back to his homeland. There are too many dots that a normal citizen like me cannot connect but one things for sure that there is a sentiment that connects every Indian – Nationalism.
PM Modi and all the cabinet need not stop work and important assignments as a country needs to keep on moving all the time but I am totally against any work that is not related to the nation.
‘Mera Boot Sabse Majboot’ was a BJP (party) event and had nothing to do with the nation. This type of event could have been postponed for some other date. The entire country was tensed and waiting for the arrival of our brave pilot Abhinandan. Even if the work was being done in the background, the sentiments of people of India must be taken into consideration by the Prime Minister of the country.
If the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are the excuse then also shifting your party worker’s video conference by few days wouldn’t have mattered much. But one thing for sure that people’s sentiment gets hurt by these small gestures which makes a large impact in the long run.
I just hope all the politicians keep in my mind that India is democracy and hence it is a government by the people, of the people and for the people.
